The island is very small, but it can be over a mile between venues. Many will rent golf carts and bicycles, but golf carts are not allowed on main highway, only in the downtown and dock st area, unless you get a street legal/registered golf cart.
The Tiki taxi/shuttle will help you get around.
See below for info on a taxi continuous loop around the island. Taxi is free and will be a shuttle bus that holds 15 and a SUV that holds 6 to 7.
See the how to Get Around FAQ for taxi schedule!
Parking might be a challenge. There is limited parking to the left and on the road at Pirates Cove and along the highway at Pirates Cove and Lowkey Hideaway.
Large Gravel Parking lot is at corner of 3rd and Highway 24 and Shuttle will pick up there. Also large parking area near downtown dock street at the boat ramp. The shuttle will be driving right past these areas.
The two most popular forms of transport on the island are golf carts and bicycles. There are rental companies for each, but golf carts will sell out.
Most Golf Carts rented are only allowed downtown and not on Hwy 24 where Lowkey and Pirates Cove are located. Golf carts have to be street legal.
Bicycles are only now rented at Pirates Cove.
TIKI SHUTTLE
The Tiki taxi/shuttle will help you get around. Once you park, you can use this to get around the island at the times below.
See below for info on a taxi loop we are adding at peak times that will do a continuous loop around the island.
TIKI SHUTTLE STOPS – runs a loop every 10-15 mins
Sunset Point RV Park
Lowkey Hideaway
Pirates Cove
3rd St and Hwy 24 Gravel Parking Lot

So every 10-15 minutes just wait at one of these places.
The Tiki Shuttle will run from morning to late, with intermittent breaks during the Mainstage times, 11am-6p. where it will be parked at Pirates Cove.
PARKING
Parking can be a challenge. There is limited parking to the left of Pirates Cove and along the highway at Pirates Cove and Lowkey Hideaway.
Gravel Parking lot is at corner of 3rd and Highway 24 and Shuttle will pick up there. Also large parking area near downtown dock street at the boat ramp.
Each concert venue will have different policies. Some are 21 and up always, and some serve food and will allow under 18 in.
Cedar Key is unique, there are no chain hotels. Only Local hotels, condos and vacation rentals.
ome you have to call and book with no online presence, old school!
There are many locally owned options available, but many are homes/condos.

RENTAL COMPANIES
These rental companies have houses, condos, and even cool downtown apartments, Many require a 3 night minimum and won’t show on search unless you put in 3 nights, but call and ask. Also, we are beefing up the Sunday schedule so stay another night!
There are also many VRBO and AirBnb Options available – Many of these options require a 3 night stay until closer to the event, as the event gets closer many should lower the minimum nights to 2 and more properties may show available.
Each venue will be selling alcohol. No BYOB is permitted at Concert Venues.
Water only allowed in
Chairs – Pirates Cove and Lowkey, and maybe a few chairs allowed at Island Hotel. You may want to set up your chair near the MainStage at Pirates Cove.
There are picnic table and chairs at each venue, but may fill up quickly.
Tents should not be needed.
Food/Drink – Please feel free to bring water and hydration related drinks, but alcohol is limited to consume only those bought at concert venues.
Pace yourself and drink wisely.
Plenty of restaurants are open and we will have food trucks at CKeyTiki MainStage area.
There is still currently no market or grocery store on Cedar Key since the storm. So stock up in Chiefland or the Dollar General before you come on the island.
Bring plenty of sunscreen, bug spray for no seeums, an 80s outfit, beach bum and pirate outfit!
THEMES/COSTUMES
FRIDAY NIGHT – PIRATES INVADE CEDAR KEY BARS.
SATURDAY NIGHT – 80’s Neon will be the style for the Glow 80’s party at Lowkey
SUNDAY – You voted for it, not sure what it means, but BEACH BUM!
When you purchase a pass, you’ll receive a credential to wear that will get you access to festival venues either for the day or for whole weekend, depending on which pass you bought. All events are private to ticket holders only.
PLEASE NOTE – Due to capacity limits, admission to specific venues for specific acts cannot be guaranteed. Some venues are small and could have limited seating options. During most of the showtimes at smaller venues, performances will be running at multiple venues simultaneously to allow for overall festival capacity. Most artists will rotate and play multiple venues so you have a great chance to see everyone.
Also of note, Pirates Cove and Lowkey Tiki have limited actual seats but plenty of space for your chair of choice so BYOC!
The answer is mostly yes! Cedar Key is probably one of the friendliest pet places in Florida. Lowkey and Pirates Cove will permit pets. There are a few places that may not, but you will have an option to hear music in a place that will.
Cedar Key has made amazing progress since Hurricane Helene!
Many restaurants are back open and some new ones as well. You will have plenty of options to chose from.
There are still condo and vacation rentals rebuilding, so the accommodation are not at full capacity.
The thing you might notice the most is that there is no longer a grocery store. There are alternatives on the island to get what you need from multiple places, but if you need one stop shopping try Chiefland, FL or the Dollar General before you come on the island.
